Question 137481: When doing multiplication rational expressions and you have reduced as far as possible, and you are doing the canceling part, can you cancel the (x-7) in this problem even though they are on different sides?
3(x-7)/x+2 X x+4/4(x-7)
If you can I know what to do from there, but if not I am stuck, here is the orginial problem...
3(x-7)/(x+2)(2x-1) X 4x^2+6x-4/4x-28

When doing multiplication rational expressions and you have reduced as far as possible, and you are doing the canceling part, can you cancel the (x-7) in this problem even though they are on different sides?
[3(x-7)/x+2] X [x+4/4(x-7)]
-----------
Yes because one factor is in the numerator and the other is in the denominator.
