Solve the ration expression x+3/5=6[-]4(x+2)/10
I know all the numerators have to have a LCD and I know how to do that, but once I do that and solve out the problem I am not getting the right answer. If you could help me I would appreciate it!!

Start with the given equation



Multiply both sides by the LCM of 10. This will eliminate the fractions (note: if you need help with finding the LCM, check out this solver)



Distribute and multiply the LCM to each side



Distribute


Combine like terms on the right side


Subtract 6 from both sides


Add 4x to both sides


Combine like terms on the left side


Combine like terms on the right side


Divide both sides by 14 to isolate x



Reduce
