what i did:
let w^2=x
2x^2-5x-3 / x^2+11x+24
(2x+1)(x-3) / (x+8)(x+3)
Can I simplify it anymore???

you can write (2x+1)(x-3) / (x+8)(x+3)in terms of w
(2w^2+1)(w^2-3) / (w^2+8)(w^2+3)
