Question 126325: I am not really sure how to do this problem> I know that I have had these before but I am stumped.
1/4n-1/2divided by n/5-1/20n
That' the problem.
I tried to get rid of the fraction by
(4n)1/4n-1/2(4n)divided by (20n)n/5-1/20(20n)
1-2n divided by 4n-1
but for some reason this doesn't look right.
Please Help
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
[1/4n - 1/2] /[n/5 - 1/20n]
--------------------------
= [(2-4n)/4n] / [(20n^2-5)/20n]
Invert the denominator and multiply:
= [(2-4n)/4n]
= [ (1-2n)/2n]
Cancel where you can to get:
= [1/1] * [-2/(2n+1)
= -2 / (2n+1)
