A somewhat informal solution.... I will leave it to other tutors to provide a more formal solution if they want to.

The ratio of times is 10:3...
so the square of the ratio of times is 100:9...
so the ratio of distances fallen is 100:9

(144)*(100/9)=100*16 = 1600

ANSWER: 1600 feet
