The terms of the polynomial are- -14u^4 v^2 w^4
- -6v
- w^8 u^9
- -7
For each term, add the exponents- -14u^4 v^2 w^4 ---> 4+2+4 = 10
- -6v is the same as -6v^1 -------> the only exponent is 1
- w^8 u^9 -------> 8+9 = 17
- -7 is the same as -7x^0 ----------> the only exponent is 0
The largest exponent sum is the degree of this multivariable polynomial.
