Question 1198545: A certain chemical rapidly decays in an oxygen-rich environment.
The polynomial function S(t)=-0.5t^4 + 0.1t^3 - 0.1t^2 + 10.2,
where t is the number of days since a fixed amount of the
chemical was introduced to an oxygen-rich environment,
describes the strength of the chemical in that location. Use this
function to estimate the strength of the chemical after 1.5 days
and after 2 days.
the answersheet says 103,331 & 122,118 injuries but i think its wrong its asking for strength of the chemical not injuries.

.

It is easy to get a "correct" answer, by substituting the given numbers of the days into the given formula.

I did it and got these answers

days the strength of the chemical

     1.5 1.78

     2 2.6

The answer is without the units names, since they are not given in the problem.

In whole, the "problem" is quite stupid, since it teaches nothing.

Have a nice day (!)
