Question 1169885: The polynomial of degree 3, P(x) has a root multiplicity 2 at x=1 and a root of multiplicity 1 at x=-2. The y- intercept is y=-0.2 . Find a formula for P(x).
P(x)=

The polynomial itself is (x-1)^2*(x+2)=x^3-3x+2
write this as a(x^3-3x+2)=f(x)
when x=0 y=-0.2
This requires a to be (-0.1)
so the function is -0.1x^3+0.3x-0.2
