Let x be the actual price per motor.

Then hypothetical price would be (x-5) dollars.


The equation to find x, from the condition, is


     -  = 1.     (1)


You can solve it using formal algebra, but the solution is clear even without it:


    x = 50 dollars.      ANSWER
