+ *
The back of the book lists the answer as written as -4 over 9(t÷2).
I am having trouble working through the problem. Although the answer is given, I would like to see how the problem is solved.
I started by factoring and multiplying *
I got * which equals
Then I tried to add +
I got an LCD of OR And that is where things get messy.
In order to get anything close to the book's answer, I'd say that it's , and not
I do believe that + * should be ÷ * , with a "÷" instead of a "+".
You should notice that this MUST be since for the answer the "4" and "9" changed positions from numerator to denominator, and vice-versa.
Look over the problem again! I believe you had a "+" instead of a "÷" in the expression, and a "÷" in the answer instead of a "+".
If that is so, then I do believe that you'll be able to get the correct answer. If not, I'd be glad to show you how to arrive at it.
