Factor.

First way.  Factor as it is:

-12x³ + 36x²

Factor out -12x²

-12x²(x - 3)

That's one form of the correct answer.

Second way.  First write the terms in 
the reverse order:

-12x³ + 36x² in reverse order is

36x² - 12x³

Now factor out 12x²

12x²(3 - x)

That's another form of the correct answer.

Either one is acceptable.
