Thanks in advance

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find all solutions to the equation y(2y+7)=15
--------
2y^2 + 7y - 15 = 0
y = [-7 +- sqrt(49-4*2*-15)]/4
y = [-7 +- sqrt(169)]/4
y = [-7 +- 13]/4
y = 3/2 or y = -5
