Question 1092725: Divide and express the answer in simplest form:
√ 3/3 - 1 / √ 3/3 +1
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
√ 3/3 - 1 / √ 3/3 +1
put over 3 numerator and denominator
(sqrt(3)-3/3 divided by sqrt(3)+3/3
the 3 denominator cancels out
sqrt(3)-3/sqrt3)+3. Multiply top and bottom by conjugate sqrt(3)-3
this is [sqrt(3)-3)}^2/-6, the -6 comes from 3-9
this can be written as 3-2*(3)sqrt(3)+9/-6
or 12-6 sqrt(3)/-6=
sqrt(3)-2
