Question 1092473: Using synthetic division, find the quotient of the following:
1. 3x^4-2x^3-x^2+4x+4 ÷ x^2-2x-1
2. 8x^5-7x^2+3x-6 ÷ x^2-x+2

You cannot use ordinary synthetic division unless you are
dividing by a binomial of the form x ± a. You cannot divide
by trinomials using ordinary synthetic division. You must
use LONG division.

You can only divide them after setting them up like this,
using long division:
       ___________________
x˛-2x-1)3x5+0x4-2x3-x2+4x+4
