SOLUTION: 2x^2-x-3 over 3x^2+7x+4 multiplied by 3x^2-11x-20 over 4x^2-9. In the first part I factored it down to (2x-3)(x+1)over (x+1)(3x+4, then cancelled the (x-1) to have (2x-3)over(3x+4)

Question 109032: 2x^2-x-3 over 3x^2+7x+4 multiplied by 3x^2-11x-20 over 4x^2-9. In the first part I factored it down to (2x-3)(x+1)over (x+1)(3x+4, then cancelled the (x-1) to have (2x-3)over(3x+4)ramaining. However in the second part I factored the top down to (x-5)(3x+4)but I do not know what to do with the bottom part (4x^2-9). Can you help me with the rest, if I got the first part correct?

(4x^2-9) is the difference of two squares ... it factors to (2x+3)(2x-3)
