Question 1068181: write a polynomial function with the real zeros: -1.5,-0.3, and 1.75

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
With those zeros, the function must have the factors
x-%28-1.5%29=x%2B1.5 ,
x-%28-0.3%29=x%2B0.3 and
x-1.75=x%2B1.75 .
The factors above are absolutely necessary.
Other factors can be piled on, and those extra factors could be
expressions containing variables
(which would make it more complicated than needed),
or real numbers, such as 2 , 10 , and/or 4 .
I think it would look nicer with the real number factors listed above:
.
That is a possible polynomial answer in factored form.
You could multiply to get
%282x%2B3%29%2840x%5E2-58x-21%29=highlight%2880x%5E3%2B4x%5E2-216x-63%29 ,
which will probably be a popular answer.
