4x-3x = 24

Then to check, you input 24 in the place of x

6*4=24 - 8*3=24

24/24=1
24/24=1
True.

Your solution is absolutely correct!
I didn't quite understand your method of checking the solution though.
I was taught this way!
Substitute x = 24.
Reduce the two fractions.
