a.x=-1
b.x=-2
-10.3(1)-(-1)+6.5=-10.3+1+6.5=-2.8. You substitute (-1)^2 for x which is 1, then multiply it by -10.3, which is the same, -10.3. Then subtract a -1, which is adding 1, then add 6.5.
