The correct formulation is:  ". . . write the polynomial in factored form and standard form."

The polynomial in factored form is

p(x) = (x-1)*(x-(-4)*(x-2),

or, which is the same

p(x) = (x-1)*(x+4)*(x-2).

Now open parentheses to get the standard form.
