Learn the definitions of and to recognize terms, exponents, coefficients, variables. Study the textbook sections carefully and do the exercises. Study the sections as they are presented IN ORDER. Any videos to check are for after you have spent some time STUDYING from the book.

That discussion is for learning in Algebra 1, or Introductory Algebra. Possibly for PreAlgebra also. If you are struggling with polynomials as part of Intermediate Algebra or College Algebra, then you must explain or describe your difficulties much more precisely.
