Question 103613: (((8/2m-4 + 3/5m-10=1/5)))
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8/(2m-4) + 3/(5m-10) = 1/5
Factor the denominators:
8/[2(m-2)] + 3/[5(x-2)] = 1/5
----------------------------------
Least common multiple of the denominators is 10(x-2)
---------------------
Multiply thru by the lcm to get:
8*5 + 3*2 = 2(x-2)
13 + 6 = 2x-4
2x = 23
x = 23/2
