Question 103203: how do you solve
Answer by checkley75(3666) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^2/2-7x/6=1 combine the 2 fractions on the left by multiplying the first fraction by 3/3:
(3x^2 -7x)/6=1 now cross multiply.
3x^2-7x=6 now subtract 6 from both sides.
3x^2-7x-6=0 now factor the quadratic equation.
(3x+2)(x-3)=0
3x+2=0
3x=-2
x=-2/3 answer.
x-3=0
x=3 answer.
