Question 1018821: Factor 6x^3+3x^2y-2xy-y^2 in two different ways. Please show the steps
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6x^3+3x^2y-2xy-y^2=
6x^3+3x^2y - (2xy+y^2)=
3x^2(2x+y)-y(2x+y)=
(3x^2-y)(2x+y)
-------------------------
6x^3-2xy+(3x^2y-y^2)
2x(3x^2-2y)+y(3x^2-y)
Same answer as above.
