the first has to be multiplied by -3

       x + 2|x³ + 0x² + 0x + 8

             x³ + 2x²

		- 2x² + 0x 

                - 2x² - 4x

                        4x + 8

                        4x + 8

As seen, the quotient is: 



Assuming that you meant that a factor of the polynomial is x - 3, then: x - 3 = 0, so one of its roots is: x = 3 



x = 3





- 3(27) + 8(9) - 15 - 9

- 81 + 72 - 24 -----> 



x = - 3





- 3(- 27) + 8(9) + 15 - 9

81 + 72 + 6 ----->
