Question 1011160: Post your solution to their equation, showing all of your work, and be sure that your answer is stated in its simplest form
4x-8=16
4x+x-6=2x+36
2(x-2)+8=64

Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x-8=16; add 8 to both sides and then divide both sides by 4. The answer is x=6
4x+x-6=2x+36;combine the x's on the left, subtract 2x from both sides, and 3x+6=36. Subtract 6 from both sides and divide both sides by 3. x=10
2(x-2)+8=64; distribute the 2 to get 2x-4+8=64;2x+4=64;2x=60,x=30
