x^2 - 36 = (x - 6)(x + 6)
x^2 + 12x + 36 = (x + 6)(x + 6)
..............
(x - 6)(x + 6)/(x + 6)(x + 6)
Cancel the (x + 6) on top
Cancel one of the (x + 6) on the bottom
..............
Answer = x - 6/x + 6
