6x^3 - 12x^2 - 18x =0
Multiply the whole eqn by 1/6x:
cross(6x^3)(x^2)-cross(12x^2)(2x)-cross(18x)(3)=0 * 1/cross(6x)
x^2-2x-3=0
(x-3)(x+1)=0
