You can put this solution on YOUR website!
All four angles add to 360, so 2x+7x+9x-40+x+20 = 360, solve for x to get:

2x+7x+9x-40+x+20=360

19x-20=360

19x=360+20

19x=380

x=(380)/(19)

x=20

Now plug this into each angle expression:

2x = 2(20) = 40

7x = 7(20) = 140

9x-40 = 9(20)-40 = 180-40 = 140

x+20 = 20+20 = 40

So the four angles are: 40, 140, 140, 40

This means that we have 2 pairs of equal angles which are opposite. This means we have a parallelogram.
