Move  x  from right side to left side, changing sign.


Move  -1/3  from left side to right side, changing sign.


You will get

     - x = 7 + .


Combine like terms

     = 7.


Multiply both sides by 3

    x = 22.


At this point, the solution is complete.


ANSWER.  The solution to this equation is x= 22.
