Question 1072271: If the perimeter of a regular polygon is 63 feet and an extiror angle of 40° what is the length of each side?
Answer by srinivas.g(540) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Exterior angle = 40 degrees
Sum of all exterior angles in a polygon = 360 degrees
For n sided polygon , there will be n exterior angles
Hence for n sides, Sum of all exterior angles = n*40
Hence n*40= 360
n= 360/40
=9
there will be 9 sides
Let lengtt of each side be x feet
Hence perimeter = x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x
= 9x
But , perimeter = 63 feet
9x =63
x= 63/9
= 7 feet
Hence length of each side = 7 feet
