Question 1057830: At the College Tech Expo, Jamal wants to build a simple display case in the shape of a cube with each side measuring 6 feet. How many square feet of plywood will be needed?

Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Surface area of cube = 6*(area of one side)

SA = 6*x^2

SA = 6*6^2

SA = 6*36

SA = 216

The surface area of this cube is 216 square feet

You will need 216 square feet of plywood to construct this display. This is assuming all 6 sides are needed.
