Well, the hard way is to calculate the interior angle of a regular octagon...
For n = 8, we can find the interior angle by
180(n-2)/n = 180(8-2)/8 = 180(6)/8 = 135 degrees
Then we take that 135 and subtract it from 180 and get the answer for x,
45 degrees.
The easy way is to look at the exterior angle for n = 8 and find it as
360/n = 360/8 = 45 degrees
