Assuming it's a regular hexagon, there are 6 equilateral triangles with sides of 4.
The area of each is bh/2, = 4*2*sqrt(3)/2
The total area is 6 times that,
=24*sqrt(3)
= apx 41.57 square units

As a check, the area of the circle is PI*r^2 = 50.265
The circle will always be more than anything inscribed in it.
