Question 647346: Write an equation of the line that contains (7, -2) and is parallel to 2x-5y=8. Please explain how you came to the answer. Thank you.
I know that you need to find the slope and then plug in (7, -2), but I don't know how 2x-5y=8 fits into the equation.
