thus, we can say that the perimeter of a rectangle is when its dimensions are doubled

If the dimensions of a geometric are doubled , its perimeter and its area?
Original Dimentions:: L and W
New Dimentions:: 2L and 2W
-----------------
Original Perimether = 2(L+W)
New Perimeter = 2(2L + 2W) = 2(2(L+W))
Perimeter is increased by a factor of 2.

Original Area = L*W
New Area = (2L)(2W) = 4(LW)
Area is increased by a factor of 4
