Question 887928: how many bisectors can a line segment have? I know the bisector is what divides the line at its midpoint, but an infinite number of lines can be drawn through one point -correct? But there is only one point on the line that is the bisector (midpt.) so is the answer 1 or infinite?

-----------
The midpoint of the line is 1 point.
An infinite # of lines can go thru the point --> an infinite # of lines passing thru the midpoint that might be called bisectors.

There's only one perpendicular bisector, tho.
