y=3x-8
4x-2y=-7
x/4+y/3=1
Thank you
p.s I did try but just don't understand :(

Answer by algebrahouse.com(1659) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Slope-intercept form is y = mx + b
m is the slope
b is the y-intercept
Get all equations in slope-intercept form and pick out the slope and y-intercept.
y = 3x - 8 {already in slope-intercept form}
slope = 3
y-intercept = -8
4x - 2y = -7
-2y = -4x - 7 {subtracted 4x from each side}
y = 2x + 7/2 {divided each side by -2}
slope = 2
y-intercept = 7/2
x/4 + y/3 = 1
12(x/4 + y/3 = 1) {multiplied entire equation by least common denominator, 12, to eliminate fractions}
12(x/4) + 12(y/3) = 12(1) {multiplied each term by 12}
3x + 4y = 12 {multiplied}
4y = -3x + 12 {subtracted 3x from each side}
y = (-3/4)x + 3 {divided each side by 4}
slope = -3/4
y-intercept = 3
