Find the size of the hypotenuse.
Change measurements into decimals
4ft 6 ins = 4.5 ft
4ft 1in = 4.08 ft
Diagonal^2 = 4.5^2 + 4.08^2
Diagonal^2 = 36.9
Diagonal = square root of 36.9
Diagonal = 6.1ft (1 decimal place)
