If the line is parallel, then it has the same slope. Plug in the (x,y) coordinate and the slope and solve for b.
+y=mx%2Bb+
m = 5
x = 3
y = 2
+2=5%283%29+%2B+b+
+2=15%2Bb+
+-13+=+b+
so the b, or the y-intercept is -13. write the equation again, this time without the (x.y)
+y=5x-13+
