Question 508932: How do you use the distance formula to decide whether the three points are vertivles of a right triangle. For example (1,2)(-3,6)(1,-5)
Answer by scott8148(6628)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the distances between the points are the lengths of the sides of the triangle

if it is a right triangle, the distances will follow Pythagoras ___ a^2 + b^2 = c^2

BIG Hint: when you use the distance formula, you already have the squares of the sides
