Find the measure of the angle swept by the hour hand by the time it reaches 12:25p.m. and 6:50p.m.
The hour hand makes one complete revolution or 360° in 12 hours, so
that's 360°/12 or 30° per hour

From 12:25 to to 6:25 it will have swept through 30° 6 times or 180°.  

30° per hour is 30° per 60 minutes or 30°/60 or 0.5° per minute. So in the 
25 minutes from 6:25 to 6:50 it has swung 25×0.5 or 12.5°.  So from 12:25 
to to 6:25 it has swept through 180°+12.5° or 192.5°.
