Hi,
y=-2x+2 line contains points (a, 8) and (5, b)

(a, 8) and (5, b)

cross multiplying
-2(5-a) = (b-8)
-10 + 2a + 8 = b
2a - 2 = b
y=-2x+2 Using ordered pair(5,b)
b = -2*5 + 2
Substituting for b
2a - 2 = -2*5 + 2
2a - 2 = -8
2a = -6
a = -3 and b is -8 (2*-3 - 2)
(-3, 8) and (5, -8)
