This point lies in quadrant 1.
After graphing the point, I am given the value of each leg of this right triangle.
I need to use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the hypotenuse.
8^2 + 6^2 = c^2
64 + 36 = c^2
100 = c^2
sqrt{100} = sqrt{c^2}
10 = c
The hypotenuse is 10.
I can know find the value of the six trig functions of x.
sinx = opp/hyp
sinx = 6/10
cosx = adj/hyp
cosx = 8/10
tanx = opp/adj
tanx = 6/8
cscx = 10/6
secx = 10/8
cotx = 8/6
NOTE: The letter x represents the angle form at the origin.

triangle formed by the point (8,6) for the three angles and sides
List the values of all six trigonometric functions for this point
--------
x = 8 ; y = 6
---
r = sqrt(8^2+6^2) = sqrt(100) = 10
---
sin = y/r = 6/10 = 3/5
cos = x/r = 8/10 = 4/5
tan = y/x = 6/8 = 3/4
---
csc = 5/3
sec = 5/4
ctn = 4/3
