Question 262026: Problem:
ABCD is a parallelogram
measure of angle ABD=4x+25
measure of angle BDC=5x-1
find x
I don't understand how this can work because these angles are on the diagonal inside the parallelogram not on one of the vertices.

The angles ABD and BDC have the same measure because they are
alternate interior angles formed by transversal BD
cutting parallel lines AB and CD.

Since they have the same measure, we set their measures equal

measure of angle ABD = (4x+25)°
measure of angle BDC = (5x-1)°

4x + 25 = 5x - 1

Solve that nad get x = 26
