Use the distance formula to calculate the measure of segment XY:



where and are the ordered pairs describing X and Y.



Do the arithmetic to get the measure of segment XY.

Now repeat the process twice more to get the measure of segments XZ and YZ.

Once you have the measure of all three segments, add them together to get the perimeter.
