Each side of a regular octagon measure x +3 cm. write a simplified expresion to represent the perimeter of this figure.
I tried (x+3)x8 but my teacher told me to simplify that
-------
It is x+3 times 8, or 8x + 24.
Be careful using x for multiply when x is also the variable.
Use (x+3)*8 instead.
