The ratio of the length of a rectangular meeting room to its width is 4:3. The perimeter of the room is 238 feet. What are the dimensions of the room?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
4:3 is the same as 4x:3x where 4x is length and 3x is width.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Perimeter = 2(L + W)
238 = 2(4x + 3x)
119 = 7x
-----
X = 17
--------------
Length = 4x = 4*17 = 68 ft
Width = 3x = 3*17 = 51 ft
