Question 176733: Can someone double check my work please.
Find the equation of the line passing through the two points.(2,9)and (0,6)
slope = (y^2 - y1)(x^2 - x1)
slope = (6 + 9)(0 + 2)
slope = 15/2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Not quite.

slope = %28y%5B2%5D+-+y%5B1%5D%29%2F%28x%5B2%5D+-+x%5B1%5D%29

y%5B2%5D+=+6 and y%5B1%5D+=+9

x%5B2%5D+=+0 and x%5B1%5D+=+2

So: %286+-+9%29%2F%280+-+2%29+=+%28%28-3%29%29%2F-2+=+3%2F2 (you had + here instead of -)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You need the formula

where the 2 given points are
(x1,y1) and (x2,y2) namely
(0,6) and (2,9)
%28y+-+6%29+%2F+%28x+-+0%29+=+%289+-+6%29+%2F+%282+-+0%29
%28y+-+6%29+%2F+%28x+-+0%29+=+3%2F2
multiply both sides by x
y+-+6+=+%283%2F2%29%2Ax
y+=+%283%2F2%29%2Ax+%2B+6 answer
