Question 13762: In a right-angled triangle, the two sides that form the right angle are both 5 inches. Calculate the length of the other side(the hypotenuse)
solution
let the hypotenuse be x
then accourding to phytagorus(may be the spelling is wroung)theorum for rightangle triangle
we have
(hyp)^2=(base)^2+(per)^2
so
(x)^2=(5)^2+(5)^2
(x)^2=25+25
(x)^2=50
x=(50)^1/2 answer
