Question 1120915: A,K,O and Y are collinear points.K is between O and A, the length of line AO added to the length of line AY is equal to the length of line OY(OA+AY=OY), and A is to the right of O. Draw a diagram that correctly represents this information.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! my diagram looks like this:
________________O_______________K_____________A________________Y______________
since O is to the left of A, i reference line AO as OA.
they're the same line and either way can be used to identify the line segment, but left to right orientation seems to work better in this problem.
you have OA + AY = OY.
this would be correct since A is between O and Y and the line segments are collinear.
this can be shown as follows:
________________O_______________K_____________A________________Y______________
O_____________________________A
+ A________________Y
= O______________________________________________Y
the line segments, put all together, have their points spelling OKAY.
not sure if it was meant to be this way, but it certainly turned out this way.
